The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 is an ultra-compact, Wi-Fi-operated smart dimmer switch with built-in power measurement designed to operate without requiring a neutral wire. It effortlessly fits behind existing wall switches or light fittings, bringing smart lighting control and scheduling to any home.

The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 delivers advanced lighting control in an ultra-compact form factor designed to install neatly behind standard wall switches, ceiling roses, or in electrical junction boxes. Engineered to work seamlessly without a neutral wire (requiring a minimum 20W load without a bypass), it is ideal for modernizing lighting setups in older homes as well as new builds.


Featuring integrated automatic dimmer calibration, the device intelligently assesses the connected light sources to determine the most effective dimming profile. Users can customize minimum and maximum brightness levels, dimming transitions, and fade rates to achieve smooth, flicker-free illumination across compatible load types.


The dimmer supports a wide range of light sources, handling dimmable LED loads up to 150 W and incandescent or halogen bulbs up to 200 W, in addition to iron-core transformers. It comes equipped with two fully programmable switch inputs that operate with both momentary (push-button) and standard toggle wall switches.


Integrated power metering allows continuous monitoring of real-time electrical consumption directly through the Shelly Smart Control app. Advanced automation capabilities include customizable weekly schedules, built-in staircase timers, and sunrise/sunset astronomical clock tracking for hands-free, energy-efficient operation.


Designed for flexible smart home ecosystem integration, the Shelly Dimmer Gen3 can operate independently over standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or connect with more than 200 partner systems, including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, SmartThings, Homey, and KNX.
