The Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic produces a sharp focal sweet spot enveloped by smooth, expressive blur for creative selective focus photography. Featuring an internal 12-blade adjustable diaphragm and a 35 mm focal length, it delivers refined in-camera depth and artistic bokeh.
The Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic allows photographers and videographers to isolate subjects within a crisp, defined sweet spot of focus framed by gradual, painterly background blur. With its 35 mm wide-angle focal length, this optic offers a versatile perspective that provides environmental context while directing viewer attention straight to the main subject.
Equipped with an internal 12-blade diaphragm, the Sweet 35 renders smooth, circular out-of-focus highlights and feathered bokeh transitions. The aperture can be smoothly adjusted directly on the optic from f/2.5 down to f/22, providing precise manual control over depth of field as well as the size and intensity of the sharp sweet spot.
Engineered with anti-reflective multi-coating, the optical glass suppresses internal reflections, flaring, and ghosting to maintain strong contrast and clean colour rendering across varied lighting environments.
As part of the modular Lensbaby Optic Swap System, the Sweet 35 integrates seamlessly into compatible lens bodies, such as the Composer Pro II. It accommodates both APS-C and full-frame sensor formats, offering manual focus control and a 15-degree tilt capability when mounted in a compatible housing.
The front of the optic is equipped with a standard 46 mm filter thread, allowing photographers to attach creative filters and lens accessories. Its tactile adjustment ring ensures intuitive exposure and focus control during portrait, street, landscape, and still-life shoots.
